The North Face Vintage Patch Tee

tnf-vintagepatchAn oldie but a goodie. The North Face is bringing back the past with the Men’s TNF Vintage Patch Tee ($25). With a retro design, this Vintage Patch Tee offers a graphic from The North Face past. The shirt is super soft sueded cotton and comes in three cool colors (deep water blue, graphite grey, and scottish moss green).

Fujifilm FinePix XP10

Looking for a rough-and-tumble camera for your next adventure? Perhaps the Fujifilm FinePix XP10 ($200) fits the bill. The camera offers a durable metal uni-body chassis with a tactile grip finish, so you’ll be less likely to drop it.

Should you accidentally lose your grip, you needn’t worry — the FinePix XP10 dubs itself as a ‘Four-Proof’ camera. This means you get a camera that is waterproof up to 10 feet, freezeproof to 14°F, shockproof to a 3 foot drop, and dustproof.

Aside from its tough exterior, the camera also boasts a 12-megapixel resolution, 5x optical zoom lens, and the ability to capture video in 720p.

Timex Ironman Global Trainer GPS Sport Watch w/ Heart Rate Monitor

New to the GPS trainer market is the Timex Ironman Global Trainer GPS Sport Watch with Heart Rate Monitor ($325). This multi-function watch measures your location, tracks altitude ascents and descents, and calculates distances and speed rates. It  features SiRFstar III GPS technology and records up to 100 GPS waypoints.

Also included is a heart rate chest strap that sends continuous readings to your watch which you can use during your workouts.

Once your workout is done, all the data can be downloaded and analyzed via online training software.

The best part of the watch is its 4 window split screen. You can now get easy access to quick information at one glance versus fiddling around with multiple buttons.

Teva illūm Sandal

teva-illumReleasing today is the all new Teva illÅ«m sandal ($50). It has all the quality and comfort features you’d expect from Teva including Spider365 rubber outsole for great traction, a Trek Dry microfiber strap lining, and comfort top sole.

What sets this sandal apart is its innovative LED pedlamp which provides light when you need it the most…when it’s dark! The pedlamp is waterproof and detachable and should give just enough light to get around while stumbling at night.

Katadyn MyBottle Microfilter

katadynmybottle
Meet the Katadyn MyBottle Microfilter ($35), an even smarter reusable water bottle. The MyBottle Microfilter offers an internal carbon filter to reduce chemicals and improve taste. It meets EPA guidelines for removal of bacteria and protozoan cyst.

Each MyBottle Microfilter contains a drinking straw and should be used with water that’s already safe to drink. If you plan to use water that’s unverified to be safe to drink (i.e., rivers & streams), you can purchase the more expensive Katdayn MyBottle Purifier model. If you aren’t sure if you’ll need to purify water, you could always purchase the MyBottle Microfilter model and just get a replacement Katadyn purification cartridge when you need it.

REI Flash 18 Pack

We saw the REI Flash 18 Pack ($29.50) on the back of the latest REI catalog and immediately fell in love with it.

It’s a simple 1,100 cu. inch capacity pack that’s made of ripstop nylon and can be easily taken anywhere. It’s perfect to throw into your luggage to have a quick daypack on your next travel adventure.

Here’s some plusses:

  • It’s hydration-compatible – There’s a built in hydration sleeve and you can run the hose out of the top.
  • Twin daisy chains – Easily use a few carbiners to clip on a hat, jacket, and more.
  • Reversible! You can turn the bag inside out to make it into a stuff sack. That means no wasted space in your luggage.

Bottom line in our opinion, it looks like a pretty cool, relatively economical pack with high utility for traveling. Who wants to go on vacation now?

Team Radio Shack Jersey

teamradioshackFor some reason, we’re still a bit partial to Lance Armstrong’s US Postal Service Pro Cycling Jersey. His latest jersey for Team Radio Shack ($150) lacks some luster of the Red, White, and Blue but will still be a winner this 2010 racing season.

The official jersey offers a large Radio Shack logo in the middle, Trek and Nike logos across the chest, and of course the Yellow LIVESTRONG band on the left cuff.

The majority of the jersey is made of Mircron, a 100% polyester fabric that offers quick moisture evaporation. It also has a honeycomb-textured knit for breathability.
